For its first year anniversary, Galerie F decided to celebrate the much-loved children’s author Roald Dahl, and engaged the help of European contemporary artists, illustrators and designers.
Posters and artworks inspired by the classics, that were written by the late Dahl, were created for the Chicago-based gallery’s exhibition entitled ‘Fantastic Mr. Dahl’.
Though commonly paired with Quentin Blake’s illustrations, the titles—from Matilda and The Witches to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and The Twits—were reinterpreted and given an interesting and refreshing treatment that still resound the plots of the well-known stories.
