German automobile brand Volkswagen has launched an app that aims to make driving more social and fun.
Called ‘SmileDrive’, the social app for driving runs in the background, and tracks where you go and rewards you with ‘stickers’ for achievements.
Even if you don’t own a Volkswagen, the Android app can be easily paired to your car’s Bluetooth, and creates a travelog on your behalf.
It takes note of the weather, journey length and time taken to complete the journey—and at the end of the road trip, it summarizes up everything, from who you’re with, to the photos taken and status updates, which users can also on various social networking sites.
SmileDrive also has a handy ‘Find My Car’ feature for those who always forget where they last parked their car.
The Volkswagen-made app is available on Google Play store.
