It’s a scenario most of us are familiar with–you’re out and about when your phone beeps to inform you it’s running out of juice.
Enter the ‘Mini’, a stylish hard-shell wallet that charges your phone wirelessly through an aluminum charging dock located on the backside. To use, simply place your phone in the slot and it starts charging immediately.
According to maker Everpurse, who previously came up with a similar smartphone-charging clutch purse, the ‘Mini’ can charge a phone from zero to 100% three times, which is equivalent to 48 hours of battery life. To recharge the wallet, plug its USB-enabled clasp into a laptop or any USB outlet.
Besides doubling as a case for your phone, it functions like a regular wallet and can store cash and credit cards. It comes with a small cross-body strap and is small enough to fit inside a handbag.
The ‘Mini’ currently supports the iPhone 5 and 5s, but Everpurse hopes to expand it to include other phone models.
It is available for pre-order at a special price of US$98 til 6 May and ships within the US only.
