Dutch photographer Alexander Augusteijn has come up with these amazing photographs that show a bullet piercing through a water droplet.
Although Augusteijn is highly skilled with a camera, he went through a process of trial and error to determine where the bullet and water droplet would met.
After he perfected his technique, he carefully let some water drip from a time-released valve—once he saw that the water was at a predetermined point, he let a bullet slice through the droplet and activated the camera’s flash and shutter.
It took 28 milliseconds to capture this image, and it seems that the effort that went into the project was worth it as these photographs take our breaths away.
