Spurred by the plight of homeless dogs but lacking “the emotional strength to volunteer”, New York City-based photographer Brian Moss decided to help them find homes by photographing them.
His ‘Rescue Me’ series features beautiful pictures of adorable shelter dogs from Bergen County Protect and Rescue, a no-kill shelter in New Jersey.
Moss hopes these portraits will help combat the unfortunate tags such as “strays” and “owner surrenders” that shelter animals are saddled with.
