Thought-Provoking Ads Show How Words Can Hurt, Urge You To Think Before Speaking

Duke University students have come up with a thought-provoking campaign called ‘You Don’t Say’ that aims to get people to think before they speak.

The series of posters features commonly used words and phrases like “bitch”, “man up” and “that’s so gay” that most of us say without thinking twice.

Though they might be uttered in jest, the sexist and homophobic undertones they contain have the power to inflict hurt on others.
