Some have criticized the comic book world for objectifying women and it seems that they may have a case with all the scantily clad superheroines fighting crimes across its pages. To turn the tables on this issue, illustrator Stephen Byrne has imagined what it would be like if “male superheroes were treated equally by pin-up artists”.
The result is a hilarious collective portrait of several well-known superheroes, including Superman, Batman and The Flash—barely dressed with their chest bared, these usually masculine characters are depicted in the sexy, coquettish poses that are typical of pin-up girls.
