A recent piece of analysis published by Pew Research has discovered that a large number of young people in the U.S., unlike past decades, are still living at home with their parents.
The study found that up to 21.6 million, or up to 36% of millennials have not yet moved out of their parents’ home. This is the highest percentage in four decades.
It also attributes this rate to three major factors: declining employment, rising college enrolment, and declines in marriage rate.
