We have previously featured a project that shows how the US government can save US$400 million by changing the font it uses. Now, the ad agency Grey London and UK retailer Ryman Stationery have come up with a font that could supposedly save the planet.

The font was developed in-house, when Suvir Mirchandani was working on his project—the agency proposed the idea to the stationery company, and Dan Rhatigan developed the font.

Ryman is persuading everyone to use the font in order to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and the use of resources—it even promises to save up to 15 million barrels of oil and 500 million ink cartridges every year. It seems like the company truly believes in the sustainability of its newly developed font.

What do you think—would you use this font, or do you think that going digital is better when it comes to saving the environment?
