Surreal, Otherworldly Photographs Of A Geyser Field In Chile





British Columbia-based interactive web designer and visual artist Owen Perry was recently in Chile and captured some surreal, otherworldly shots of the El Tatio geyser field.



Located within the Andes Mountains in northern Chile, El Tatio stands at 4,320 meters above sea level. It is the largest geyser field in the southern hemisphere, and the third largest in the world.



It contains over 80 active geysers and attracts tens of thousands of tourists from all over the world, who come to see its amazing mineral formations and bathe in the hot geyser water.



Perry had to be on the road by 4am to ensure he would arrive just as the sun was rising, in order to capture the atmospheric beauty of steam rising from the geysers.
