An ‘Origami’ Chair Folded From A Single Wooden Strip

Designed by Chris Kim, the “A4 Chair” is a concept chair which can be folded from a single wooden strip.



Based on the Japanese art of origami, this chair can be made using flexible materials such as plexiglass and bentwood, and is surprisingly durable.



Using the 3D software Grasshopper, the designer was able to virtually fold a single wooden strip, and make adjustments that he would otherwise be unable to do in real life.
