Boxing Day: Find Out What Is In The World’s Biggest Amazon Box

Enormous Amazon box spotted by Redditor

Earlier this week, Redditor Listrophy spotted what is probably the world’s biggest Amazon box on his street and prompted much speculation about what could be in it.

The answer has just been revealed. It turns out that this enormous box is part of a collaborative marketing campaign by Japanese car-maker Nissan and Amazon—it contains a Nissan Versa Note.

Last year, Nissan offered potential customers a chance to purchase the car through Amazon, and would be delivering it to three of the buyers in huge Amazon.com boxes.

The unpacking of these larger-than-life boxes are to be filmed and used in a social media video that would be launched next week—as of now, Nissan has only released a single picture of the special deliveries (shown below).

Surprisingly, considering what they hold, the boxes are really made of cardboard instead of a stronger material like wood.

Read the interview that Ad Age did with Nissan’s social media director Erich Marx to find out more about this intriguing campaign.
