The famed designer of the beloved “Fail Whale”—and the “Success Loch Ness”—Yiying Lu teamed up with San Francisco-based creative collective “The Department of Reckless Abandon” on a fun Twitter-related project: a set of adorable nesting dolls featuring Twitter’s founders.
Five of the six dolls in the set are based on the most important personalities behind Twitter’s success, namely Noah Glass, Biz, Jack Dorsey, Ev Williams and Dick.
The outermost and largest doll is a tribute to the Twitter community as a whole—on the front, it looks like a modern version of the tradition Matroyshka doll, while on the reverse is an illustration of a sweet blue bird.
The “#NestingTwitter” project has just launched a campaign on Kickstarter—for a minimum pledge of US$80, you would be able to attach a custom plate to your doll set, which has been engraved with your Twitter handle, join date and your favorite tweet.
We think that this will make an awesome gift for a social media geek—find out more about these Twitter nesting dolls from the video below and on their Kickstarter page.
