Based in Cape Town, South Africa, Jono Dry specializes in creating large-scale graphite drawings that look more like photographs than hand-illustrated images.
The talented self-taught artist has a “passion for pencil drawing” and chose the medium of graphite on paper because “it allows him to give great attention to detail and create an emotive atmosphere”.
His impressive portfolio includes drawings that feature everyday things that have been given a surrealist twist—for instance, one of his creations depicts a tree encased in a light bulb, which is floating a little way off the ground.
He has also made some amazing drawings of human eyes—see more of his work below and on his website.
