We have previously written about several great micro-homes, but Russian designer Vlad Mishin’s conceptual apartment may be the most visually pleasing one yet.
Measuring just 60 square meters, Mishin’s “Transformer Apartment” features a gorgeous and brilliantly constructed sculptural wall—made of black metal framework and plywood—that serves to partition the tiny space into coherent and defined rooms.
Consisting of three main rotating blocks, the wall can be opened up to reveal a TV and shelving panel, a compact kitchen and a bathroom—the undulating, faceted wall also effectively splits the apartment into two parts: a living/dining space and working/sleeping space.
Clever and stylish, this apartment is an excellent example of how one can make a small space feels and functions like a more spacious one.
