Online craft store Olde World Collectibles & Creations has injected some machismo into the elegant chess set by creating one that is made from real bullet shells.
The ‘.50 Caliber Bullet Shell Chess Set’ features chess pieces made from .50 caliber bullet shell casings that have “cuts, slashes, curls and bends” to represent the pawns, rooks, bishops, knights, king and queen. The chess board is made from individually cut and prepped squares that are welded to the steel frame. They are divided into light squares of polished natural steel and dark hand-painted ones.
