The cell phone has become such a necessity in our age, but have our lifestyles changed all for the better because of it?
A short film titled ‘I Forgot My Phone’, conceived by actress and comedian Charlene deGuzman, shows just how much of a bane it can be.
The film highlights the annoying and all-too-familiar traits people display when they become overly attached to their phones.
In the film, scenes of sharing moments with loved ones, exercising, meet ups at cafes and even a marriage proposal are disrupted by the jarring presence of the cell phone.
deGuzman thought up the idea behind the video after noticing a bombardment of mobile activity—like taking pictures, tweeting, Facebook updates—at her favorite DJ’s concert.
She expressed her disappointment by saying, “There is a moment happening right in front of you, right this second, and you’re missing it”.
How many moments have you missed whilst being busy on your phone?
