“Mail Art” may be becoming a trend—after featuring these lovely envelopes last week, we spotted another designer who is doing gorgeous hand-lettering work on envelopes.
San Francisco-based designer and letterer Erik Marinovich has started a new project named “Do Not Open”, where he would mail unique envelopes—on which the address has been beautifully hand-lettered—to people around the world for a fee.
Every one of these envelopes would feature a one-of-a-kind lettering style and no two would look the same—you can submit your own address or that of a friend.
Each custom envelope would cost US$175—shipping costs included—, and if you place an order, you would be agreeing to have your address/envelope shown publicly on the project’s online gallery.
Would you like to receive one of these envelopes in your mail? Find out more about the Do Not Open project here.
