We are familiar with the ‘Dumb Ways To Die’ campaign for Australia’s Metro trains, and these adorable yet foolish characters will soon be available as plush toys.
These characters range from pocket-sized toys to larger ones that are 30-inches in height. Prices range from US$5.99 to US$99.
According to the Metro’s General and Corporate Relations Manager, Leah Waymark, many people had asked for campaign-related merchandise, and the transport network was also approached by various companies to produce t-shirts, toys, and even a television show.
However, she felt that “brand integrity” was important, as ” finding a way to engage with people in different ways and keep the conversation alive was foremost.”
These toys are licensed by California-based company Evolution Inc., and will be manufactured by the New York-based company, Commonwealth Toy and Novelty.
