A Documentary For Guinness That Features The Life And Philosophy Of Sapeurs

London-based advertising agency AMV BBDO has created a new and inspirational documentary for Guinness.



This documentary titled ‘Made of More' features everyday working class men of Africa who belong to ‘the Society of Elegant Persons of the Congo’, or a subculture known as ‘sapeurs’.



Sapeurs are a league of African working-class men who express themselves and bring optimism to life through their fashion choices.



In the spot, the narrator narrates that “In life, you can always choose who you are", explaining that circumstances should not define you and you can still bring the best to life.



The resultant ad is a delight to watch as it sees everyday men of Africa—taxi drivers, policemen, and so on—bring their joy to life through the clothes they choose to put on.
