When you look at these images of the Sochi games by Reuters, it would seem like there are several people in each of them—in fact, these are sequential shots that captures each athlete as he or she execute their high-speed moves.
Featuring figure skaters to skiers, these images are made by combining multiple exposure shots that have been taken in split-second intervals—they slow down and break down the movements of the Olympians, allowing the viewer to have a better idea of how they do what they do.
