It seems that in addition to being a display of athletic excellence, the Sochi Olympic also a goldmine of internet humor—after featuring these true faces of figure skating yesterday, we have stumbled upon “Without You”, a Tumblr page dedicated to photographs of pairs figure skaters in which one of the skaters have been digitally removed.
Considering that pairs figure skaters are only able to perform challenging and even gravity-defying stunts with the help of their partners, these funny Photoshopped images made their subjects look like they are achieving impossible physical feats on their own.
From surreal pictures of floating female skaters to the male skaters’ unflattering poses, these manipulated photographs are the work of Christopher Hiltz, who states that not all the pictures used are from the 2014 Olympics.
