Mexico-based artist John Raya has embarked on a ‘Star Wars’ fan art project, in which he imagines how the helmets of all 32 NFL teams will look like in a galaxy far, far away.
Each team remains easily identifiable through the retention of the original color scheme even though the logos have been creatively re-interpreted. For example, instead of a blue horseshoe against a white background, the Indianapolis Colts have been rebranded as the Mos Eisley Troopers, featuring a Stormtrooper on the helmet.
Who knows? This might just get the geeks all sporty for the next 2014/15 NFL season.
