Every year the Global Associations For Creative Advertising And Design Awards (D&AD Awards) honors the best creative work in the design, advertising and digital categories. Formerly focusing only on British talent, the awards now recognize creativity around the world and give out Yellow, White and Black Pencils to winning agencies worldwide.
Freelance information designer Tiffany Farrant-Gonzalez has created a set of infographics for the D&AD Awards that visualizes the creative prowess of different countries around the world.
The infographics focus on awards given to Australia, Brazil, Japan, and the US in 2013, revealing the areas in which they excelled in as well as the total number of awards they won.
The US racked up 125 awards with the majority of wins in advertising, while Australia had winners in every category. Brazil and Japan tied at 28 wins each, with the former’s awards coming from football-centered campaigns and emotional photography and cinematography, and the latter triumphing in the design category.
