Photographer Captures The Beauty And Opulence Of California’s Movie Theaters

New York City-based French photographer Franck Bohbot, known for his rare photos of rooms in a deserted Louvre museum and symmetrical photos of Parisian movie theaters, has a new series of stunning images that captures the beauty and opulence of California’s movie theaters.

Titled ‘Cinema’, the collection features lavishly designed halls as well as smaller, intimate indie establishments. Devoid of people, the magnificent grandeur of the theaters stand out even more, drawing attention to their incredible architecture and details.

Bohbot was inspired by the golden age of Hollywood and the magic of film, saying “The greatest emotion I have ever had in my life took place in the dark.”
