Wanting to prove that love is equal, regardless of gender, New York-based photographer Braden Summers traveled the globe to capture stunning photos that only featured gay couples.
Entitled ‘All Love Is Equal’, Summers traveled to countries like France, India, Lebanon, Brazil, Africa and the US to capture romantic images for his Kickstarter-funded project.
Summers, who identified himself as gay, said that he was tired of the LGBTQ community being “misrepresented in the mainstream media”.
“A large driving force behind creating this series was actually less about affecting the gay community directly, and more about giving the general population a way to relate to gay imagery which is devoid of sex, victimization, or banality—themes that might usually prevent some folks from connecting,” wrote Summers on his website. “The photographs are not documentations, they are dreamy illustrations of what open expressions of love in different cultures ‘could’ look like in a future, more accepting time.”
