Artist Paints Her Favorite Album Covers On Her Face

Artist Natalie Sharp chose to mark Record Store Day this past Saturday not by buying records, but by painting amazing covers of her favorite albums on her face.

In an interview with music website The Quietus, she said she was inspired by her friend Dan Conway, who suggested she paint her face as a vinyl record.

Sharp, who records music under the name Lone Taxidermist, originally planned to paint all eight covers in one day but ended up spending four days in total, with each cover taking between three to six hours to paint.

“These are not my top eight albums, I don’t believe in that crap, but they are eight very inspiring and spectacular albums that I keep returning to... I cried after finishing Grizzly Bear, I thought it had broken me. I don’t use any stencils as it’s all freehand,” said Sharp.

Check out her artwork below and see if you can recognize all the albums featured. Did she depict your favorite album cover?
