Artist David Barton, who is also known as Limpfish, has created an entertaining series where he gives famous fine art paintings a make-over by inserting pop culture icons into them.
Cleverly altering the originals so that they now feature well-known characters such as Marge and Homer Simpson, Darth Vadar and Batman, Barton has managed to add a irreverent twist to the works of legendary artists like Van Gogh, Rembrandt and Dali.
For instance, based on Monet’s Woman With A Parasol, he has created the humorous Vadar With A Parasol that depicts the iconic villain holding on to the dainty sun-shade.
