We see them every day as we go about our lives, but how often have we stopped to think about how the countless painted signs on roads are made.
One early morning in London, designer Tom Williams spotted two sign-painters at work and decided to film their process—amazingly, they hand-lettered the words “Bus Stop” with nothing more than a metal pole to help align their work.
This video is a must-watch for anyone who appreciates typography and the craftsmanship that goes into their creation—the confidence with which the letters were painted reflect the painter’s years of experience in the trade.
