The Sneakers Top Airlines Would Wear If Nike Designed Shoes For Them

As part of a brainstorming session in the office, London-based art director Macro Lemcke, from creative agency Joint, envisioned the sneakers top airlines would wear if Nike designed shoes for them.

Lemcke told PSFK that his team “stumbled upon the word-play of ‘Nike Air’ and ‘airline’, and that “it seemed obvious to try out how a collaboration would look”.

Called the ‘Nike Airline Collaboration’, Lemcke took the colors and logos of popular airlines like Virgin Atlantic and KLM, and placed them on Nike Air sneakers.

“Isn’t it fascinating how corporate colors and logos get recalled even if you see them on totally different products? Looking at it now, corporate identities and major brand collaborations could be quite an interesting thing for brands like Nike. I wonder how a mashup with a big soft drink, automotive or even a bank might look?”
