Can’t seem to take the perfect selfie? No worries, because digital agency iStrategy Labs has designed a mirror that will help you do just that.
Called the ‘Self Enhancing Live Feed Image Engine’—or ‘S.E.L.F.I.E’ for short—it is a two-way mirror that uses a facial recognition software and webcam to help you take the perfect hands-free self-portraits.
To use, simply stand in front of the mirror and flash a smile. The webcam and software will detect the user’s face and indicate a countdown with LED lights. Once the image is taken, it will be instantly posted to Twitter.
The facial recognition software runs on a MacMini, while the LED lights are controlled by an Arduino microcontroller.
