At first glance, these idyllic scenes seem to be beautiful digital paintings. However, illustrator Rebecca Mock has skillfully tweaked them with a touch of animation.
These GIFs are called cinemagraphs, in which one small but noticeable element of the picture has been animated. At first glance, they look like static images, until one spots the small moving part.
Mock has done a very good job with the mood of these digital paintings—they reflect how the lazy dog days of summer feel like. We look forward to viewing more of her work.
