Hot on the heels of Pierce Thiot’s ‘Will It Beard’ project comes Egyptian conceptual photographer Ahmad El-Abi’s own quirky series of random objects stuck in his hair.
He has been sticking all manner of wonderful and weird items in his hair and posting them on Instagram under the hashtag ‘#stuffedhair.’
El-Abi’s first picture of himself with rubber ducks in his hair was originally taken for Instagram’s Weekend Hashtag Project on 2014 resolutions, and the response was so overwhelming that he decided to turn it into a series.
From soap bubbles and paper clips, to pinwheels and LEGO bricks, it seems no object is too outlandish or impossible to fit into his mop of dark curls.
“I hope to inspire others to open their eyes, to do what they love and to discover more about what they can do, because when I started photography three years ago, I didn’t know I would be doing conceptual/creative photography. I really love it when someone says my photos cheer them up because they are colorful and funny.”
