Surreal Illustrations That Imagine Light As Being More Tangible Than It Is

Malaysian graphic designer Tang Yau Hoong, who made these clever negative space illustrations, is back with an intriguing series that portrays light in various wonderful and surreal ways.

Inspired by how light is very much visible but yet so intangible, the designer has made several imaginative “light illustrations” that depict beams of light as things that we can actually touch.

From a luminous curtain that one can peek out of to a cascading stream that looks like a illuminated waterfall, these minimalist illustrations show us how light may behave in a parallel universe.
