As an ode to the mega city, which seems to be our “destined habitat” with dwindling resources, product designer David Graas has create a gorgeous, 3D-printed LED lightbulb that has a cityscape rising out of its top.
Showing miniature high-rise buildings huddling closely together, this intricate lightbulb also reflects how 3D-printing is becoming increasing common—according to the designer, 3D-printing will “soon be a standard feature of modern city infrastructure with a 3D-print shop on ever street corner”.
The “Huddle” bulb shade comes in both floor and pendant versions—each one is equipped with the necessary cables and parts for easy installation.
