Desmondo Ray, aged 33 years and 3/4, is lonely and has love to offer.
He’s not much of a catch: he lives with his dad, he’s a little overweight, has a hunched posture and child-like voice, is partially bald—and is much like a social misfit.
But he has his own charm; and the more you learn about him, the more he grows on you.
His likes include peeing in the rain, watching buildings burn, altering offensive graffiti, collecting memorabilia, shooting objects with his finger and imagining them explode, listening to sad music while having happy thoughts, and watching old family footage.
One of his dislikes is magicians, because they lie; he also works at a local golf course collecting golf balls.
Desmondo is an endearing character created by Australia-based creative Steve Baker in the poignant short film, ‘The Video Dating Tape of Desmondo Ray, Aged 33 & 3/4’.
