Historical Sea Forts Transformed Into Luxury Hotels

Located off the coast of Portsmouth, England, the Spitbank Fort, made to stand guard against the Napoleon III's army, is now a luxury hotel.

This 19th century marvel has eight suites, while the other fort, No Man’s Land, will be built to accommodate more people.

Secluded enough for a romantic getaway, guests are ferried there by boat, and will be able to enjoy facilities like a heated pool, a spa, a bar, as well as a view of the Isle of Wight.

While it may seem strange to be living in a military fort, this US$4 million revamp manages to be evoke a relaxing and tranquil atmosphere.
