Called the Hizamakura Lap Pillow, this bizarre “kneeling” pillow is “clothed” in a black or red skirt and is available for purchase at the Tokyo and Narita International airports or at the Japan Trend Shop.
Although it’s meant for lonely travellers, this accessory has become quite popular as many Japanese feel that it is an amusing gift for family and friends.
The pillow is also described as “soft and elastic to the touch,” and “perfectly suited to lying your head on.”
