Based in Madrid, artist Fernando Vincente makes use of the shapes and borders in maps by turning them into paintings of animals and people.
Called “Atlas”, this series plays with the texture of these maps, allowing the viewer to see both the painting and the original map beneath it.
Although we are separated by borders, Vincente suggests, through his works, that humanity is united through a common spirituality.
